B. Ear it Live Festival 1980

With the Ear it Live Festival, organized by the Music Gallery (Toronto), in collaboration with the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Sonde was “on the road” again. Note the development, not only of pieces using a single sound source, but also of pieces combining diverse sound sources.

Bing bang la nuit, 28/10/1980, 8:25. Keith Daniel, Charles de Mestral, Pierre Dostie, Chris Howard, Michael O’Neill. Excerpt of an improvisation on various instruments, hand-built sound sources and amplified objects, recorded in Peterborough, Ontario.  The title is a quote from the mayor of Jonquière, Quebec, who had expelled the groups InterXsection and Sonde from town that same year.
