Mise au défi de réfléchir aux modifications apportées à son quotidien, à ses relations amicales ou de voisinage, l’artiste de Saint-Jean-Port-Joli a réalisé cette étude sonore des 20 kilomètres qui séparent sa maison-atelier de celle d’une nouvelle venue dans la région, l'auteure et photographe Anne-Marie Proulx, toutes deux aux abords de la route 132. L’asphalte d’une seule route unifia leur relation et la production d’une œuvre multiple, dont cette composition est un élément. Une installation multipistes dans l’appentis de jardin de Anne-Marie devint l'occasion de rencontres conviviales et le sujet d’une production photographique argentique.
Initialement une réflexion sur la solitude en bord de route alors que la pandémie immobilisait l'artiste, cette rencontre permit au projet de s’ouvrir. En laissant Anne-Marie puis Émilie Payeur jouer avec les éléments, l’amitié et les rencontres s’imposent comme seul réel vaccin.

Cette œuvre n’est pas un disque mais une archive sonore.

Challenged to reflect on the changes made to his daily life, to his friendly or neighborhood relations, the artist from Saint-Jean-Port-Joli has produced this sound study of the 20 kilometers that separate his house-workshop from that of a newcomer to the region, author and photographer Anne-Marie Proulx, both on the edge of Route 132. The asphalt of a single road unified their relationship and the production of a multiple work, of which this composition is one ley element. A multi-track installation in Anne-Marie's garden lean-to became the occasion for friendly encounters and the subject of a film photographic production.
Initially a reflection on loneliness on the side of the road while the pandemic immobilized the artist, this meeting allowed the project to open up. By letting Anne-Marie then Émilie Payeur play with the elements, friendship and encounters become the only real vaccine.

This work is not a record but a sound archive.
